We have deployed v1.6.0, a major milestone update dedicated to cleansing the monster ability engine, fixing critical UI/palette race conditions that hid health bars, and optimizing high-tier Greater Rift progression tracking.
- Hero Power Exclusion: fixed a critical bug where normal monsters were accidentally inheriting class abilities (such as the Witch Doctor's Zombie Charger or Summon Zombie Dogs). This completely eliminates server crashes within sub-routines like ShouldSpawnFetishSycophant.
- Strict Fallback Profiles: isolated generic placeholder abilities. Affix and generic skills are now explicitly reserved for Elites, Uniques, and Bosses. Normal monsters now use tightly mapped family-specific profiles (skeletons, lacuni, wasps, ghosts, scavengers), eliminating absurd combat behaviors.
- Non-Combatant Filtering: updated the data coverage systems to ignore structural non-combat actors (such as vendors, voiceover nodes, and summoners), dramatically cleansing server diagnostics and log output.
- Dangerous Status Cleanup: removed high-risk debuff and status IDs from the default configuration lists to prevent unexpected server-side action stalls.
Combat Interface & Visual Palette Resync
- Overhead HP Palette Resolution: fixed a persistent visual race condition where loading screen packets would incorrectly overwrite PvE parameters with PvP coloring, making monster health bars invisible. The server now cleanly forces the canonical layout (-1) and delivers a delayed synchronization packet to win the client visual race.
- Valid HP Snapshots: updated the reveal pulse mechanism within the Actor core. Health updates are now carefully verified to prevent current hitpoints from exceeding total maximum limits, allowing the client to flawlessly render health indicators and damage numbers.
Rift Hardening & Progression Metrics
- Rift Re-entry Weather Fix: resolved the "black lighting" bug when re-entering completed Nephalem or Greater Rifts. The server now triggers a controlled refresh of environmental data, weather synchronization, and nearby actors upon portal utilization without forcing aggressive map reveals.
- True GR75 Progression Tracking: optimized high-tier milestone verification to strictly query the player's real-time, normalized RiftGreaterLevel attribute, preventing high-tier completions from being miscalculated as lower difficulty achievements.
- Bounty Geography Flexibility: refined the unique boundary safety rules. While regional protection remains active to prevent infinite monster refills, "Kill Unique" contract objectives will now correctly award credit even if the target boss is kited outside its native sub-zone.
Expected gameplay impact
- Flawless Interface Accuracy: monster overhead bars, health pools, and combat floating text will consistently render without text corruption or vanishing states.
- Thematic Monster Encounters: enemies behave and attack strictly according to their intended lore profiles without executing player-class skills.
