We have deployed v1.7.0, a major feature milestone that introduces the foundation for Challenge Rifts. This update activates the complete server-side infrastructure for weekly rotations, establishes the dedicated Challenge Rift Hub world, and resolves critical network queue exceptions across the battle server.
Challenge Rift Hub & Lobby Infrastructure
- The Challenge Rift Hub Arrival: players can now successfully queue into the official Challenge Rift game mode. This instantiates the native weekly_challenge_hub world area, establishing the competitive staging ground where players prepare and choose their map runs.
- BGS Lobby Stabilization: resolved the critical network Error 300008 that previously crashed the client interface during mode selection. Overhauled the protocol matchmaking queue across 5 core framework files to enable flawless room handshakes.
- Donor Profile Failbacks: fixed profile loading issues when zero official weekly rotation blueprints are active. The server now implements a real-time database snapshot override, using the player's own hero as a safe baseline template to prevent character selection freezes.
Game Server Mode Partitioning
- Isolated Gameplay Environments: the world generator now isolates the Challenge Rift Hub from standard adventure and campaign progress trackers, suppressing traditional story quests to guarantee a clean competitive environment.
- Procedural Map Fallbacks: while custom progress bar parameters and character-cloning systems remain in active development, the hub safely maps operational procedural generation algorithms to allow navigation and environmental testing.
Protocol Noise Cleansing
- Dialogue Handling Guards: added defensive handlers for specialized NPCs (such as the Challenge Rift Nephalem actor), preventing raw data discrepancies from interrupting the world loop.
