We have deployed v1.3.0, a major update focused on world health and advanced AI behavior. This version introduces smart anti-clustering systems for respawns and a complete overhaul of how Offline AI handles combat, navigation, and loot.
What is fixed in v1.3.0
- Waypoint Slow Time Protection: a "Slow Time" dome now automatically activates upon waypoint teleport, periodically applying a debuff to protect players during loading/transition.
- Intelligent Anti-Stack Respawn: the auto-respawn pipeline now prevents "player piles" by validating cell density and using smart relocation to disperse deaths.
- Tactical Offline AI Navigation: offline characters now strictly follow navmesh paths. They will no longer walk through walls, using lateral sweeping if their forward path is blocked.
- Advanced Combat Logic: Offline AI now memorizes hotbar skills, prioritizing Left/Right clicks. Added "quarantine" for failing skills and class-specific distance filtering.
- Bounty Spawn Guard: added an "anti-storm" budget for bounty refills and atomic position resolution to prevent infinite loops and server churn.
- Connection Silence for Offline: outbound traffic is now suppressed for characters in .offline mode with closed connections, preventing buffer bloat and lag.
Expected gameplay impact
- Safer Respawns: you will no longer spawn directly on top of other players or in crowded danger zones thanks to new density counters.
- Reliable AI Partners: your offline clones behave more like real players—using their full skill kit, picking up gold (vacuum), and respecting world geometry.
- Optimized Performance: significant reduction in O(n^2) calculations and better CPU management during large-scale bounty fights.
- Smooth World Transitions: no more "stuck" ghost sessions due to outbound packet clogging on disconnected offline clients.
If you notice instability, please report hero name, zone, UTC time, and whether .offline was active in Support.
