We have deployed v1.3.5, focusing on eliminating unfair disconnects, fixing world visibility issues after conversations, and perfecting Kanai's Cube recipes. We've also hardened the server against the "Hard Freeze" issues detected in Rifts.
Network & Connection Stability
- Tolerant Send Budget: updated the connection handler to prevent unfair kicks. The server now allows transient spikes (up to 600ms) and will only disconnect a client after 4 consecutive breaches or a massive single stall (2400ms+).
- A7DE35C6 & Code 300005: fixed the root cause of "Asset Mismatch" disconnects during login related to cosmetic pets. The rejoin process is now significantly smoother.
- Hard Freeze Elimination: removed the "AtomicVisibilitySweep" system which was causing 60s deadlocks in Rifts. The server is now back to a stable heartbeat.
Visibility & World Immersion
- Post-Conversation Refresh: fixed the issue where NPCs, Portals, or even your own character became invisible after talking to Orek or other NPCs. A new dual-pass refresh system ensures everything reappears within 0.6s - 1.5s after a dialogue.
- Vanity Pet Restoration: implemented a safe whitelist for pets. You can now see your pets in town and menus without risking a crash, prioritizing session stability over in-world self-visibility if necessary.
- Move-to-Reveal Fix: resolved the "monk crash" during fast movement. Null-guards were added to portal destinations to prevent crashes when moving across the map.
Crafting & Anti-Exploit
- Kanai's Cube - Hope of Cain: fixed the "Upgrade Rare" recipe. It now correctly identifies legendary counterparts even when they belong to parent item groups (e.g., Hand Crossbows correctly upgrading to legendary Crossbows).
- Cursed Chests: removed the 80% failure rate. Cursed chests will now correctly trigger their events every time they are opened.
- Orek & Bounty Safety: implemented the "ExploitLog" system. Legitimate conversations no longer trigger false "Double Claim" warnings, but rapid-repeat reward attempts are still blocked and logged.
Expected gameplay impact
- No More Random Kicks: high-latency spikes will no longer instantly drop you from the game.
- Perfect Cube Results: rare items will now always find their legendary upgrade if one exists in the pool.
- Visual Clarity: NPCs and portals will remain visible and interactive after finishing important quest dialogues.
