We have deployed v1.3.8, a major stability update targeting the Mystic's enchanting systems and item data integrity. This patch resolves critical client crashes when hovering over enchanted items and ensures a smooth progression through the Enchanting UI.
Mystic & Enchanting Overhaul
- Enchanting UI Progression: fixed the "Enchanting Item..." hang. The server now correctly acknowledges your affix selection, allowing the UI to progress and close the selection popup upon completion.
- Tooltip Crash Protection: resolved the client-side freeze occurring when hovering over enchanted items. We've implemented a metadata normalization pass that repairs legacy affix data before it reaches your client.
- Enchantment Metadata Repair: fixed a precision mismatch in enchant seeds and counts. The server now automatically audits and repairs item metadata during loading to prevent desyncs.
- Dye Costs: applying dyes at the Mystic now correctly consumes gold based on the item's transmog cost, with a real-time inventory notification.
Item Integrity & Sockets
- Socket Metadata Normalization: implemented a safety pass for sockets. The server now clamps socket counts, cleans invalid gem references, and ensures all socket data is persisted safely in the database.
- Attribute Refresh Logic: improved the synchronization between server-side item changes and client-side tooltips. After any metadata repair, the server forces a full attribute refresh to prevent "stale" or incorrect item info.
- Item Usability Fix: reverted a strict attribute filter that was accidentally making some Rare and Legendary items non-interactable with the Mystic.
System Stability
- Handshake Hardening: reduced noise in the logs regarding WebSocket handshakes to improve server diagnostic clarity.
- Safe Affix Payloads: the power system now rejects undefined affix references during item reveal, providing a much more stable experience in high-activity games.
Expected gameplay impact
- Crashed-Free Hovering: you can now safely inspect all your enchanted and socketed gear without fear of a client crash.
- Flawless Enchanting: the entire process with Myriam—from selection to application—is now faster and more reliable.
