We have deployed v1.6.3, a major performance, game mechanics, and data safety update. Following the analysis of over 1,000 game loop latency events and server dumps, this patch resolves severe client freezes, corrects Paragon calculation caps, and refines monster spatial synchronization.
- Elite Bogfamily Balancing: investigated reports of client-side game freezes inside the Blood Marsh (x1_bog_01). Stripped heavy, non-native artificial affix fallback packages from the unique Elite _x1_bogfamily_melee_a_unique_dh, ensuring it runs strictly on its lightweight native behaviors to eliminate massive rendering stalls.
- True Reflect Damage SNO: fixed a critical structural bug within the monster power mapping engine. The Reflected Damage affix (MonsterAffixReflectsDamage) was incorrectly sharing SNO 70655 with the Knockback trait. Reflected Damage has been moved to its canonical SNO 230877, resolving broken damage loops.
- Lag Spike Reductions: optimization of the combat notification matrices significantly reduces server-to-client processing weight during high-frequency monster pulls.
Paragon 64-Bit Overhaul & Experience Fix
- Paragon Experience Overflow Guard: resolved a critical Int32 mathematical overflow that triggered exactly at 2,158,320,000 XP (commonly around Paragon level 514). Experience tracking and rested bonuses have been fully migrated to 64-bit structures (using proper Lo/Hi fields) to safely preserve multi-level experience surpluses.
- Character Profile Repair: characters logging in with existing experience corruption caused by the previous integer limitation will have their tables automatically repaired. Note: Legacy levels already awarded during the overflow state will not be automatically rolled back due to data verification limits.
Monster Movement & Transition Watchdogs
- Eradication of Monster "Teleportation": identified and fixed a floating-point rounding error in pathfinding. Previously, the server-side monster position could advance up to 6 ticks ahead of the destination coordinates broadcasted to the client, causing micro-teleports. Movement is now perfectly synchronized.
- Portal Transition Watchdogs: introduced specific high-fidelity diagnostic tracing handlers ([PortalTransition] and [PortalLoadWatchdog]) to isolate client-side disconnection anomalies and track transition timings.
Data Protection & Inventory Safety
- Stash Eviction Fallback: implemented a reliable data recovery path for corrupted inventory items during character loading sequences. If an item fails to fit into the backpack due to a structural sizing anomaly, the server now automatically evicts and saves the item into the player's shared Stash instead of skipping or deleting it.
- Companion & Minion Hardening: added rigorous multi-tier verification guards for Master contexts, physical positioning grids, and body boundaries inside the MinionBrain module to eliminate recurrent NullReferenceExceptions.
- Emergency Portal Routing: upgraded the transition handler to avoid infinite loops when handling broken map instances (like dynamic Hexmazes) by executing backup target locations.
Expected gameplay impact
- Smooth Act V Exploration: massive stutter and freeze relief when navigating and fighting through dense Bogfamily packs in the Blood Marsh.
- Flawless High-Tier Paragon Scaling: absolute reliability when farming high experience volumes without risking profile progression stalls.
- Linear, Fluid Combat Navigation: monsters will walk, chase, and reposition with extreme visual fluidity, completely removing rubber-banding behaviors.
- Absolute Item Safety: complete data persistence insurance, ensuring your valuable equipment is never lost or deleted during uncommon inventory database errors.
