We have deployed v1.7.1, a major data-driven optimization patch for our world population engine. This update completely re-engineers monster spawning rules, expanding procedural tileset compatibility from 8 basic archetypes to 56 comprehensive structural models covering all acts and seasonal maps.
- Dynamic NameTemplate Mechanics: expanded the core name-matching algorithm from 8 to 56 strict environmental parameters. If an unmapped or custom procedural LevelArea loads without explicit database entries, the server now intelligently extracts tokens from its directory string to auto-inject the correct, lore-accurate monster family.
- Comprehensive Act & Zone Coverage: the population matrix now natively resolves all major historical content tilesets, preventing empty map layouts across all regions:
- Act I: Cathedral, Agony/Leoric layouts, Royal Crypts, Spider Caves, and Moon Clan dens.
- Act II: Dahlgur Oasis, Zoltun Kulle Archives, Sirocco Deserts, Sewers, and Aqueducts.
- Act III: Bastion's Keep, Arreat Crater, Towers of the Damned, Icefall Caves, Fields of Slaughter, and the Ruins of Sescheron.
- Act IV: Hell Rifts, Silver Spire tiers, and the Gardens of Hope.
- Act V: Pandemonium Fortress, Westmarch Commons, Ruins of Corvus, Cesspools, Greyhollow Island, and custom Whimsyshire presets.
- Moors Family Correction: resolved an old mapping error where Shrouded Moors parameters incorrectly targeted Act I cells (Skeleton King's Chamber asset 19789). The route has been realigned to its proper Act V blueprint (460372) to load accurate regional monster factions.
- Modern Patch Layout Identifiers: increased name recognition tags from 6 to 21 parameters. The generator now fully scans modern structural layouts (including px_lr_tileset_exterior_* configurations), successfully populating Tristram Fields, Desolate Sands, and Boneyard procedural variations.
- Strategic LevelArea Aliases: implemented three crucial routing redirections to prevent waypoints and zone portals from rehydrating completely empty instances when loading campaign data layers:
- Pandemonium Fortress Level 2 automatically inherits Level 1 parameters (271271 → 271234).
- Westmarch Heights safely leverages Westmarch Commons populations (263493 → 261758).
- Blood Marsh smoothly utilizes Paths of the Drowned asset layouts (245964 → 258142).
Expected gameplay impact
- Densely Populated Rifts: absolute consistency in monster counts across every single procedural map, completely eradicating empty dead zones.
- Unbroken Travel & Waypoints: entering advanced campaign areas or specific Act V waypoints guarantees aggressive, functional monster encounters.
- Lore-Accurate Combat: enemies will always match the theme and visual aesthetics of the zone you are exploring.
