We have deployed v1.4.5, a targeted update bringing massive visual and functional fixes to Kanai's Cube unlock flow, alongside structural zone alignment fixes for the Ruins of Sescheron.
Kanai's Cube Progress & Visuals
- Dynamic Stand States: overhauled the Cube's physical presence in town. Players who haven't unlocked Kanai's Cube will now see the proper non-interactive placeholder (kanaicube_stand_nocube). Once unlocked, the majestic interactive stand materializes instantly.
- Zoltun Kulle Hub Alignment: guaranteed the Cube's presence next to Zoltun Kulle in all Adventure Mode hubs. If a map layout misses the object, the server automatically maps and spawns the stand in near proximity to the NPC.
- Interaction Stability: reinforced the unlock sequence to ensure closing Zoltun Kulle's final dialogue cleanly registers the cube state without desyncing the client UI.
Ruins of Sescheron Alignment
- Sescheron Level 2 Progression: fixed a critical structural bug in the Elder Sanctum transition. Added the missing LevelArea alias configuration (redirecting 430336 -> 430335) to fix broken level data during repopulation cycles.
- Atomic Scene Mapping: updated the atomic repopulation engine to resolve layout calculations using safe aliases. This ensures monster packs spawn reliably inside Sescheron dungeons without causing world loading crashes.
Development & Safety Guardrails
- Anti-Regression Rules: logged comprehensive architectural guidelines in our internal documentation to permanently preserve the stability of the MMO Rift systems and Kanai's customization flow.
Expected gameplay impact
- Authentic Unlock Experience: progression feels highly interactive and visually responsive when hunting down the Cube in Act III.
- Seamless Act III Exploration: full layout and monster population stability throughout the entirety of the Ruins of Sescheron.
