We have deployed v1.4.8, an immersive update that introduces one of the most iconic endgame features: Orek's Dream. Alongside this, we have overhauled the world density matrix for all rift types and perfected the visual and atmospheric feedback during your runs.
Orek's Dream & Atmospheric Systems
- Orek's Dream Integration: Nephalem Rifts now have a curated chance to roll into "Orek's Dream." This legendary state applies a distinct aesthetic overlay and introduces highly rewarding monster pools.
- Dynamic Weather Synchronization: weather transitions are now perfectly synchronized with the game state. Dramatic lighting shifts, darkness, and fog will trigger seamlessly upon entering worlds or spawning a Rift Guardian.
- Zone Entry Announcements: implemented a reliable center-screen announcement banner when loading into new worlds, featuring smart post-load retries to guarantee delivery.
- Fog of War & Minimap Polish: refined the HUD and fog of war calculations in Greater Rifts, ensuring smooth map exploration without visual glitching or sudden tile reveals.
Surgical Rift Fixes
- Urshi Safe Placement: fixed the issue where Urshi or the exit portal could spawn outside the map boundaries or inside obstacles. The server now validates a walkable surface anchor and safely applies collision offsets around the point.
- Dynamic Layout Fallbacks: the WorldGenerator now uses defensive asset routing to suppress clutter actors and provide a clean layout, removing structural disconnects during loading.
Massive Monster Density Re-Tuning
- Density Multipliers by Mode: added dedicated configuration keys to manually scale population filters across all rift variants: Standard Rifts (1.45x), Greater Rifts (1.75x), and Empowered Greater Rifts (2.00x). Orek's Dream maintains its massive 3.10x population boost.
- Global MMO Spawning Limits: increased zone capacity limits to sustain action-packed environments. Raised the maximum alive count per zone from 120 to 150, cell limits to 20, and agglomeration limits to 48.
- Performance Overhead Buff: increased the atomic repopulation frame time budget from 35ms to 45ms, allowing the server to generate larger, more dangerous monster packs (up to size 7) smoothly.
Expected gameplay impact
- Breath-Taking Endgame: higher chance to experience high-reward Rifts wrapped in striking weather effects.
- Dense, Chaotic Battlefields: significantly more monsters to fight in all activities, especially in tight corridors and high-tier Greater Rifts.
- Perfect Reward Mechanics: Urshi and your escape gateways are always guaranteed to spawn within walking distance, completely accessible.
