Nephalem,
We have deployed v1.2.3 with major improvements for Diablo III dedicated node, NAT/MTU fixes, and real uptime monitoring for the project.
What's new in v1.2.3
- Dedicated Diablo III Node: We now operate a high-performance VDS in Moldova as a public gateway, forwarding all traffic via WireGuard to our dedicated server. This ensures low latency and high reliability for all players.
- NAT / iptables: General MASQUERADE was removed. Specific SNAT rules are now applied for game ports to guarantee correct routing.
- MSS / MTU: TCPMSS rules set to 1240 and clamp-mss-to-pmtu for optimal packet size and stability.
- Conntrack: Liberal TCP connection tracking enabled for seamless reconnects.
- Real Uptime Monitoring: The realm status page now checks the new Dedicated Server every hour, reflecting true service status and incidents.
Current Architecture
- Player (Internet) → VDS Public IP (Moldova) → WireGuard tunnel → Dedicated Server (Moldova)
- VDS acts as public gateway, real server is in the office
- Client connects to VDS public IP, traffic is forwarded via WireGuard to Dedicated Server (Moldova)
Network Rules
- SNAT for ports
- TCPMSS set to 1240 for both directions
- net.netfilter.nf_conntrack_tcp_be_liberal=1
Validation
- Game server is reachable at new IP
- Incidents and uptime are now tracked and visible on the realm status page
If you experience any issues, please report your account, UTC time, and region in Support for fast diagnostics.
